Little Big Horn National Park

Located in Montana, Little Big Horn National Park is certinly worth a visit. The battlefied is surprisingly smaller than one would think and can be viewed quickly. That said, the on-site museum and the amount of information located around the battlefiled makes the visat really owrthwhile. Taking pictures in the museum is tough, due to crowds and size, but still worth wandering around in.

This is the spot of Custer’s Last Stand. The calvary was wiped out on this small unprotected slope. Custer’s tombstone in the center of the picture has a black background.

Battlefied tombstones.

Above: Grave markers for slain Cheyenne warriors, “Limber Bones,” and “Closed Hand.”

Left: Two of the 7th Calvary markers. They mark the spots where they died, but have no names.

J.K. Ralston’s, “Call of the Bugle,” hnags in the on-site museum. You can’t really tell (due to cropping) but it’s huge.
